custom software development. Our resources are available to provide a team of
consultants, with a project manager, for development of a custom application
either at your facility or ours.
We use a proven methodology for software development that works extremely well in small to medium size business applications. Large businesses such as our automotive client headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan typically apply their own methodology with our contract services.
Scanning and inventory applications have recently become one of our specialties. Financial and business software application expertise has been and still is a core skill since the start of our firm in 2001. We have written billing and tracking systems for ISP and cellular companies, municipalities, and a real estate firm.

Methodology

Detailed analysis and specifications. EnablePoint Consultant(s) will spend time onsite and with staff that will be benefiting from the new custom software and develop a logical flow of data and process for the scanning system. We will provide computer generated outlines, a flow chart detailing the data flow, final hardware specifications and pricing, and a final design. This portion of our engagement will require interaction with your staff and discussion on how certain functionality is desired to take place.

Network/hardware engineering. We will recommend if needed the purchase of hardware for your new software application. An example might be the Flicscanner we have recently recommended for a manufacturing client. EnablePoint consultant(s) will assist you in the specifications of these hardware items and usually recommends the purchase of these items directly from the designated vendor(s). We only order hardware and resell items on request.

Agreement. EnablePoint will obtain your agreement on the design in writing and request the placement of hardware order(s) in a modified version of this working document.

Software development. After a sign off of the final design and pricing, we will begin development of the software product. For the initial software development effort, we will estimate the time frame for you for the first installation and testing.

|
Beta implementation and testing. Once the software development is complete and the hardware is received, we will implement the system in your facility for testing. This initial implementation will be a TEST system and we anticipate changes and fixes at this point. This is a normal step for software development. We anticipate EnablePoint consultant(s) to be onsite during this process testing with your staff and on our own. This time is included with the fixed price of the software development.

Final software development. After initial testing we will return to EnablePoint and finalize the software product. Call us for references on how well this methodology has worked in the past! |
